Supporting people with the cost of living crisis

Supporting people with the cost of living crisis of Portsmouth City Council was a remarkable event at the Royal Maritime Hotel and Club. The event was full of SMEs from the city, people from the University of Portsmouth and charities.

The event was chaired by Gerald Vernon-Jackson CBE, and a brilliant presentation on various aspects of work and analysis. We have participated in finding some answers to address the cost of living.

In table 5, our team have contributed to developing some ideas to crack down on problems. I proposed work exchange with food vouchers/products/services through our (Time research & innovation's work-based learning programme). Becky Miles, proposed scrapping the Amazon/supermarket vouchers and allowing local businesses to facilitate instead.

Together we will build a sustainable community with our collective work, product and services.

Thank you to all the participants, SMEs, Portsmouth City Council, University of Portsmouth, Father Bob White, Matthew Gummerson, Stef Nienaltowski, Councillor Suzy Horton, Rowshonara Reza, Danielle Eberhardt, HIVE Portsmouth, Portsmouth City Council B2B Networking, Shaping Portsmouth, Portsmouth Economic Development & Skills, and others who have attended the event.
