Focus Group Discussion(FGD) for Gap Analysis of the Extinction of the Pottery Industry in Dhaka Division.

We have started our FGD pretest for our pottery research project funded by the Cultural Ministry of Bangladesh.

The discussion was placed at the Union Sadar Upazila conference office with the respected Pottery members (Kumars) from different Paal Para. The Kumars are specifically located in Kagojipara. Here, the problems and reasons for extinctions are highlighted, also their way of living, culture, and earnings, including both past and present conditions, are discussed in the session. Lastly, each individual presented some solutions like support from the government by arranging funding and support programmes.
